We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced F/T Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage all accounts payable transactions, invoice verification, entry, and payment
Maintain accurate records of all transactions
Utilize accounting software such as Rubicon
Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
Maintain vendor files and ensure all necessary documentation is collected for compliance purposes
Enter, verify and maintain employee credit card and expense reports
Support Payroll/HR Manager, including data entry related to employee benefits as needed
Conduct analysis of financial data to identify trends or discrepancies that may require attention
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounts payable or corporate accounting roles
Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
Proficiency in accounting software
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams
