Charleston House Memory Care, a part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is looking for a wonderful Activity Assistant (part-time) .

We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.

Shift and Scheduling:

• Part-time position with every other weekend schedule
• Typical shift hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Days are flexible; example schedules include:
• Candidate 1
• Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Candidate 2
• Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday

Job functions will include:

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents
• Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
• Help design programs to encourage socialization
• Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
• Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
• Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
• Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative
• Musical/arts & crafts experience preferred
