Purpose of Position:Christopher Newport Universitys College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences is accepting applications from prospective adjunct faculty members to teach individual courses, as needed, in the following areas in Fall 2025 and beyond:
BiologyThe Department of Molecular Biology and Chemistry is composed of 22 faculty members and oversees the major in Cellular, Molecular and Physiological Biology under the B.S. degree program in Biology and the B.S. degree in Chemistry with majors in both Chemistry and Biochemistry. The Department is located in the $80 Million integrated science building, which includes dedicated research space for faculty and houses a vivarium, confocal microscope, real-time thermocycler, and other standard molecular biology equipment as well as over $1M of chemical instrumentation.
