You must be proficient in reading drawings and deciding on the manufacturing process, sequence of operations, number of setups, tooling selection and programming. Also required to have experience in setup and programming 4 th axis rotary table. Machining tasks would consist of machining parts for production. This is where you would develop a program and prove it out for an operator to take over. This is about 40% of the machining that we do. The other 60% of machining we do is for in-house tooling. This consists of things like tube end form dies, tube bending dies, wiper dies, mandrels and pressure dies. This would be to support other aspects of the shop. In most cases this would have to be overseen from start to finish. Currently we use GIBBS CAM and Cobalt software to develop programs. Having an understanding or experience using this software would be a plus. In our CNC machining area, we currently have the following machines.
