Scheduled Hours: Full Time; PM Shift: 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Position Requirements:
- High school graduate with diploma or GED
- CPR certified
- 2-3 years hospital experience/training
- Good communication, professional, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to recognize needs and behaviors across various age groups, including understanding child development, adolescent behavior, and signs of normal aging
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints
- Ability to work in demanding situations
- Ability to lift/move and transfer patients, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and in excess of 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds constantly
- May be exposed to hazardous materials and diseases involving blood, body fluids, or tissue
- Ability to transport heavy objects
- On call as needed
- For direct patient care, ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; for heavier lifts, patient handling equipment and assistance are required
Purpose: To assist in providing quality patient care focused on surgical patients, supporting anesthesiologists and nursing staff across various procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Participates in OR suite preparation for patient admission under supervision
- Maintains supplies and equipment for anesthesia care
- Collaborates with other health team members to ensure quality care
