General Summary: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Greeting and assisting customers positively, answering questions, and resolving inquiries. Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service. Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance. Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor. Assisting in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Supporting loss prevention efforts. Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Following all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives. Previous management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with other physical activities. Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, development potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
