As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in daily store operations, provide exceptional customer service, maintain inventory and store appearance, and complete daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers positively, answering questions and resolving concerns. Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service. Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar practices under the Store Manager's guidance. Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store. Support ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Contribute to loss prevention efforts. Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Follow all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives. Prefer management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
