Job Description

*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team, bringing enthusiasm and expertise across a diverse range of practice areas. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive legal support, conducting detailed research, drafting precise legal documents, and assisting with client consultations. Your proactive approach and strong negotiation skills will help us navigate complex legal issues efficiently while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We focus primarily on family law, bankruptcy and criminal law.

*Duties*

* Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and tribal law.
* Draft clear, accurate legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence that meet high standards of quality and professionalism.
* Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and summarizing key information.
* Support clients through consultations by providing detailed explanations of legal options in areas such as immigration law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and patent law.
* Participate actively in negotiations to help secure favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
* Maintain meticulous records of case progress, correspondence, and legal documentation within the law office’s case management system.
* Stay informed on current laws and regulations affecting various practice areas to ensure compliance and provide up-to-date advice.

*Experience*

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam.
* Proven experience in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
* Prior exposure to multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, or tribal law is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to draft detailed legal documents with precision and clarity.
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of supporting successful client outcomes.
* Excellent writing skills complemented by the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
* Legal administrative experience including case management and document organization is preferred but not required.
