Shift: Day
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm and as needed
Summary:
The construction carpenter is responsible for building, erecting, installing and repairing forms, structures and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects. The construction carpenter will work on construction and renovation projects throughout the Baptist Health System, which may require some light travel, night and weekend work on occasion when required to complete a job.
Other information:
•Education - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program required. Vocational school, technical college or apprenticeship program requirements may be waived with additional experience.
•Experience - five (5) years' experience of on-the-job construction training required.
•Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - ability to understand directions and read blueprints. Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately. Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade. Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods. Works well as part of a team.
•Must have strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow established procedures.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly. Baptist Health
