This role is responsible for the performance and supervision of first and third-party claims.

• Implement the directives and objectives of the Hull Claims Manager and U.S. Head of Claims
• Adjust claims and conduct negotiations on behalf of the Company
• Remain informed of all assigned claims through periodic review and diary control
• Maintain current knowledge of technical and legal developments
• Evaluate reported subrogation potential on claims assigned for handling and make recommendations to the Hull Claims Manager concerning pursuit of subrogated recoveries
• Assist in the underwriting and production efforts undertaken in coordination with underwriting managers
• Manage claims and perform the administrative, recordkeeping and appraisal functions

Desired Qualifications:

• FAA pilot certificate or FAA A&P mechanic certificate strongly desirable
• Aviation insurance claims handling experience a big plus
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office computer applications
• Aptitude for learning proprietary computer systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Up to 35% domestic and international travel required
