Known for our commitment to revitalizing neighborhoods and creating landmark projects, we are seeking an Asset Manager with a focus on multifamily mixed-use to join our in-person team in the District of Columbia.

Position Overview:

The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance of a select portfolio of assets within the firm’s residential & mixed-use portfolio. This individual will work closely with 3rd party property management teams, leasing agents, lenders, and internal teams to maximize asset value and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of multifamily residential assets, ensuring operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Develop and execute asset-level business plans, including rent growth, leasing strategies, expense management, and capital improvement projects where needed.
  • Monitor property performance through regular financial analysis, variance reporting, and benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to drive occupancy, rental income, and tenant satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver regular asset performance reports and presentations for senior leadership and lenders.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants, investor requirements, and local regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct market research to evaluate competitive positioning and identify opportunities for value creation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (CCIM, CPM) a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in real estate asset management, with a strong emphasis on multifamily residential.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and performance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily operations, leasing, and capital planning.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and real estate software platforms (e.g. MRI).
