Position Description
The Community Advocate delivers comprehensive, trauma-informed advocacy and support for clients by assessing their needs, developing goals, and linking children & families to resources and services that improve, maintain, or restore an enhanced quality of life. He/she uses a strengths-based approach to provide crisis management, safety planning, advocacy, resource referrals and support to survivors of domestic violence. The Community Advocate will work in close collaboration with his or her supervisor, other advocates, and volunteers. This person must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment, work with a diverse population, and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.
Compensation:$42,000 - $49,000 yearly

Mission Righteous Roots (MRR) is a faith-based 501(c)3 founded in 2018 with the vision to provide a safe refuge and guidance to individuals experiencing abuse-related trauma. MRR is located in Gatesville, Texas (TX), the county seat of Coryell, and serves the surrounding counties of Bell, Bosque, Hamilton, Lampasas, and McLennan.
MRR believes that addictions and other self-destructing behaviors are symptoms of a deeper problem. Using a faith-based approach, MRR goes straight to the root of behaviors, guiding individuals through a healing process so they can become whole.
We provide free, confidential, and non-judgmental crisis intervention, assessments, referrals, crisis prevention, and consultation services. We work directly with victims of crime and individuals dealing with hardship/trauma/crisis as a result of past or present abuse of any type.
