The Brand

The Kosterina mission is to help people live healthier, more delicious lives. Kosterina is well on its way to being a category leader and household name, trusted for our premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and other fresh, nutritious, and delicious Mediterranean ingredients. We are building a multi-channel, multi-category lifestyle brand owning a premium space in the market. Kosterina is a direct-to-consumer and retail brand at an exciting moment in its growth, with a small but mighty team of entrepreneurially minded and highly collaborative individuals who love what they do. 

The Role

This role reports to the head of marketing, as a critical member of the marketing team. This position touches all parts of the organization as the eyes, ears and voice of the brand on social. This person will play a pivotal role in building an engaged community, both online and offline, through social content, communication, gifting, and managing influencers, affiliates, and creators to tell our brand story - strong candidates will have direct experience doing this in-house at a fast growing brand.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with social media creators and influencers of all size.

  • Strategically identify & onboard creators aligned with the brand's values and target audience.
  • Maintain and grow our database of creators we want to work with consistently.
  • Recruit influencers to join our affiliate network to drive revenue for Kosterina
  • Manage evergreen and campaign-driven gifting program - track postings and results.
  • Source & negotiate quarterly micro influencer pay-to-play campaigns. 
  • Act as our main point-of-content with the creator community, adopting the voice of our brand

Manage day-to-day communication on social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), acting as the voice of our brand.

  • Respond to DMs and monitor and respond to comments on both paid and organic posts.
  • Comment on relevant feeds and topics and anywhere we are tagged (IGS, stories) or mentioned.
  • Monitor our channels, acting as the eyes and ears to our community (help setup our listening tool)
  • Drive email signups (through Many Chat) 
  • Track success by looking at engagement and audience growth over time.

Play an important role in content creation, especially on TikTok

  • Schedule posts across platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Create engaging content for TikTok (e.g. street interviews, founder questions, UGC)
  • Capture content at events or in-store (Whole Foods brand ambassador demoes)
  • Selectively repost content on our IGS in a way that elevates our brand
  • Measure growth and engagement and use key metrics to continually refine our content strategy
  • Be the expert on trending content, social best practices, competitive activity, and new features or trends in community engagement that can inform our content strategy. 
  • Provide key support for events and activations, coordinating sampling, gifting and brand collateral.
  • Contribute to team brainstorms with unique and exciting ways to engage our community both online and offline tied to measurable results.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years proven track record in a relevant role such as community or social media manager with demonstrated success growing and engaging communities for a brand and experience managing multiple social media accounts.
  • Passion for wellness, an authentic connection with our brand and the ability to adopt a brand voice.
  • A people person, skilled at interacting with all kinds of personalities
  • Self-starter with a creative mindset and excellent communication skills – thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, brings fresh ideas, takes initiative with a “can do” attitude.
  • Expert multi-tasker, who can juggle different responsibilities with ease. 
  • Organized and metrics driven – embraces influencer and affiliate growth goals to drive revenue. 
  • Ability to track and report on their work in a clear way and understands the importance of influencer and affiliate relationships to hit revenue goals.
  • Comfortable organizing meetups, workshops, and digital activations to drive engagement.
  • Team player who is excited about joining a small, enthusiastic team that embraces ambitious growth goals and is looking to make a difference.
