Travel Correctional Nurse for a 13-week contract position in a correctional facility. As a
Travel RN/LPN , you will provide essential nursing care to inmates in a secure, challenging environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses who are looking for a new adventure while utilizing their clinical skills to serve a unique patient population.
Responsibilities: - Provide nursing care to inmates in a correctional facility setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical provider
- Monitor and assess inmate health conditions, documenting any changes
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist with urgent care needs
- Perform routine health screenings and exams
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure that medical supplies and equipment are properly maintained
- Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and security protocols
Requirements: - Active and valid RN/LPN license
- Minimum of [X] years of nursing experience, with at least [X] years in a correctional or similar setting
- Ability to work independently and in a high-pressure environment
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility security requirements
