Role of a Data Analyst
The Data Analyst will collaborate with Business Stakeholders and Program Operations to complete various projects. Responsibilities include developing ad hoc reports, conducting in-depth data analysis, troubleshooting data issues, and supporting data quality initiatives. The role involves retrieving and consolidating complex data from multiple sources for team use. Basic project management skills are required to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
Computer/technical skill training.
Knowledge of Insurance and Management concepts.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong experience with SQL and database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Access.
Extensive experience creating visualizations with Power BI.
Knowledge of business or data modeling is a plus.
Ability to facilitate meetings and gather process information.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive attitude towards learning and business objectives.
Physical Requirements
Ability to talk, hear, see, and read.
Manual dexterity for operating a keyboard.
Physical ability to handle files and paperwork.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Occasional exertion up to 20 pounds.
Clerical visual activity standards apply.
Additional Responsibilities
Collect, evaluate, and prepare research data.
Collaborate with SMEs for data analysis and report development.
Compile and update reports ensuring data accuracy.
Analyze data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
Work with program operations to resolve technical issues.
Maintain records of research methods and results.
Design and develop databases for data collection and reporting.
Communicate project status to stakeholders.
Uphold the company's code of conduct.
