About Us: At Home Instead, we provide exceptional care and support for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Alzheimer's and Dementia Trainer with a preferred background in recruiting to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Training Development and Delivery:
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring compliance with Illinois state standards.
    • Stay updated on the latest developments in Alzheimer's and dementia care and incorporate them into training programs.
  • Recruitment Support:
    • Assist with creating and maintaining employee files, completing I-9 forms, conducting background checks, and handling other recruitment-related tasks as directed by the recruiter.
    • Participate in community outreach efforts to attract and recruit new talent.
  • Event Planning:
    • Plan and coordinate events for caregivers and key team members, fostering a sense of community and recognition within the organization.
  • Communications:
    • Develop and distribute a monthly newsletter for clients and caregivers, highlighting important updates, success stories, and upcoming events.
    • Send out personalized welcome cards to new caregivers to make them feel valued and appreciated from day one.
    • Ensure caregivers feel celebrated by sending birthday and anniversary cards.
  • Phone Management:
    • Professionally answer and route incoming calls, providing excellent customer service and responding to straightforward questions and requests.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Perform a variety of administrative tasks as assigned by the Business and Office Managers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Alzheimer's and dementia care.
  • Experience in recruiting and hiring is a plus, but not a hard requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of Illinois state standards for Alzheimer's and dementia care training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia.
