Primary Purpose This application is designated for
INTERNAL USE ONLY and should be completed solely upon instruction from the Department Chair, Dean, or Human Resources, specifically for adjunct instructors applying to teach one of the following programs:
- Dental Assisting
- Dental Hygiene
Position Duties Primary responsibilities include teaching clinical, lab, and classroom content, if needed, in the subject area. Applicants must be able to attend calibration meetings. The candidate must complete the mandatory SafeColleges and KnowBe4 training as per requested by the IT Department, to include annually.
Position Requirements Adjunct Instructors must meet the faculty qualifications as defined by Wayne Community College to ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and Commission on Dental Accreditation.
All certifications and/or post-secondary credentials must be from a regionally accredited institution and submitted to Human Resources within 30 days of hire. The applicant is required to maintain all certifications, professional licenses, CPR, Hepatitis B Vaccination, and PPD annually. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Applicant must be a self-starter, a team player, and possess the ability to work well with others. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is desired.
If selected for employment, the applicant must submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.
Supplemental Information Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview. To be considered, all degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education. Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within
30 days of hire .
Foreign Degrees: Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions will not be considered alone.
Foreign Credential Evaluation Services: Wayne Community College accepts foreign transcript evaluations only from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. *Prices for transcript evaluations vary from agency to agency, and payment is the applicant's responsibility.
