SALARY


The minimum salary is $94,692.00 annually.
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


The purpose of this classification is to manage all facilities within LFUCG. Direct all activities of employees in Facilities Management. This position oversees facility renovation contracts, new contracts, custodial services and building maintenance/repair for government owned and leased buildings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Six (6) years of related experience of which four (4) years must be in managerial capacity

  • Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience

  • Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the activities of facility maintenance including janitorial services both in-house and outsourced, repair, construction, renovation, and maintenance

  • Establishes service levels and oversees the development of workflow schedules, work plans, staffing and equipment requirements, cost projections, and employee schedules

  • Directs the development of bid specifications for projects and equipment purchases as well as evaluates bids and determines which should be selected based on price, time, etc.

  • Assist with annual budget preparation, monitors expenditures for operational efficiency

  • Conducts staff meetings, performance appraisals, and coaching/counseling sessions to facilitate employee development

  • Manages customer service and office staff to ensure quality service

  • Responsible for all activities in regard to implementation and utilization of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) by the Division staff

  • Performs related work as assigned

SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION


Any certification/license in the field of architecture, engineering or facilities management is preferred but not required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS



  • May be subject to call-back duty
