What You’ll Do:
- Lead the improvement, maintenance, and expansion of cloud infrastructure as Groundlight grows.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating the deployment process to improve efficiency and system reliability.
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and Azure, ensuring that resources are optimized for both performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Leverage Kubernetes for container orchestration, managing clusters and deployments across both production and development environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Pulumi to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Participate in on-call rotation with other engineers for ensuring the reliability of the cloud service.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate best DevOps practices and enhance product delivery, collaborating on key operational and technical decisions.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and troubleshooting issues to mitigate downtime.
- Enforce security best practices and compliance across all systems and infrastructure.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal systems, automating operational processes and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering role with production responsibility.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management and orchestration of containerized applications.
- Proficiency in Python, and bash for scripting and automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Pulumi or Terraform.
- Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure using AWS and Azure.
- U.S. Citizen, open to obtaining security clearance.
- This is an In-Office role. Must live in Seattle
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with CUDA workloads and NVIDIA-container-runtime for GPU-accelerated applications.
- Familiarity with OpenSearch for search and analytics use cases.
- Experience managing embedded or single-node k3s clusters for lightweight Kubernetes environments.
