A pioneering lithium-ion battery technology company are seeking a Director/VP of R&D/Engineering to lead the transition from research and development to product commercialization. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of battery innovation, working closely with a team dedicated to revolutionizing energy storage solutions.

⚡ Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Engineering Teams: Manage an R&D/Engineering team, including managers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Bridge R&D and Product Development: Oversee the transition from research to development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.
• Mentor High-Caliber Talent: Guide and develop PhD-level scientists and engineers, balancing technical excellence with practical application.
• Drive Product Commercialization: Translate cutting-edge research into market-ready products, emphasizing scalability and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the CTO and executive team to align engineering initiatives with company goals.

⚡ Industry Experience/Education:

• Industrial Experience: 5=7+ years in battery technology or related fields.
• Start-Up/Scale-Up Experience & Leadership: Proven ability to operate effectively in scale-up, high growth environment, demonstrating initiative and independence.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in battery technologies, with experience in silicon anodes or 3D architectures being a plus.
