- Oversee 401(k), health, dental, vision, and disability benefits in partnership with external vendors.
- Advise leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support managers and supervisors with employee relations, performance, and policy training.
- Direct all recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes for both salaried and hourly personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience — construction industry or adjacent field experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
- Strong understanding of benefits and 401(k) plan administration.
- Proven ability to manage compliance, employee relations, and workforce development across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a practical, results-driven mindset.
What’s Offered
- $150,000 – $175,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus potential.
- Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, disability, and 401(k) with company match.
- Opportunity to shape and modernize HR practices in a respected heavy civil construction company.
- A collaborative environment with strong leadership support and growth potential.
