Rare Necessity Digital Agency is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to develop and execute high-impact email campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and customer retention. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and creative copywriting to craft compelling, data-driven email marketing strategies.

As an agency, we manage multiple brands across various industries, primarily focusing on e-commerce businesses and select service-based brands. The ideal candidate will not only be an expert in email marketing execution but will also take the lead in building and optimizing the agency's email marketing department, establishing best practices, and developing scalable strategies that enhance overall client success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute email marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
• Write persuasive, on-brand email copy tailored to each client's audience and industry.
• Set up and manage automated email flows, segmentation strategies, and A/B testing to improve performance.
• Lead the development of the agency's email marketing department, creating structured processes, best practices, and scalable strategies.
• Identify tools, workflows, and resources needed to improve efficiency and elevate client results.
• Monitor and analyze email performance metrics, using data-driven insights to refine and optimize campaigns.
• Ensure email deliverability and compliance, maintaining a clean, engaged subscriber list and adhering to best practices (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
• Collaborate with designers, strategists, and account managers to align email campaigns with broader marketing initiatives.
• Stay up to date on email marketing trends, best practices, and platform updates to continuously improve client strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in email marketing and copywriting, preferably in an agency or e-commerce setting.
• Proficiency with email marketing platforms ( Klaviyo experience highly preferred ; HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar a plus).
• Strong understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, and automation workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of an email marketing function, optimizing and scaling processes.
• Experience training or leading a team in email marketing strategy and execution.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with e-commerce marketing strategies and consumer behavior insights.
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email formatting is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
