The Protege Agency Producer Program is designed to provide potential entrepreneurs an opportunity to grow their skills and business knowledge to become a Farmers Agency Owner in the future while working for an existing Farmers Agency Owner. The Protege will be mentored by one of the top agents in the state, learning firsthand what the agent does to achieve such financial success.

The Protege will have access to the award-winning University of Farmers® training program that is designed to help enhance their knowledge and introduce them to tools that will help them grow as a successful business owner. The Protege will go on to become their own Agency Owner in 10-12 months.

OPPORTUNITY FOR AGENCY OWNERSHIP:

A Protege Agency Producer seeking an appointment as a Farmers agency owner must meet the following minimum criteria to be eligible for appointment consideration:

  • Achieve $150,000 in New Business Gross Folio Premium (GFP) within 12 months.
  • Complete the University of Farmers® Protege Agency Producer training program.
  • Pass an agency owner candidate background check in accordance with Farmers guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Interview panel with Farmers® Insurance representatives

 

COMPENSATION:

Base salary plus commissions and/or bonuses.

Job Requirements

As a Farmers Insurance Agent, you must have strong organizational and time-management skills as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills. You must have a desire to be your own boss while helping people protect what matters most to them. We are seeking individuals who are willing to work hard and commit themselves to the success of this business opportunity.

Sales Experience required. Outside sales experience highly preferred

Experience exceeding sales goals highly preferred

 

Additional requirements of the Farmers Insurance Agent include:

  • Good credit history – no chapter 7,11 or 13 bankruptcies within the last 12 months.
  • Favorable criminal record
  • Favorable driving record

Responsibilities:

  • Develop insurance quotes, and advise clients.
  • Meet new business growth goals and objectives as established.
  • Call prospective customers by operating telephones, automatic dialing systems, and other internet technologies.
  • Grow client base by utilizing phone, email, potential client list & existing client referrals.
  • Manage and inspire staff (qualify to become a mentor & receive additional bonuses)
