Job Description

A leading provider of reconditioning and protective coating processes is seeking an HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental operations across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate is a certified HSE professional with strong leadership, communication, and compliance expertise. Working collaboratively, the new leader will promote a strong safety culture by leading compliance efforts, guiding team practices, and implementing effective policies while fostering continuous improvement, maintaining records, and supporting organizational goals.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX 77087

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Sitewide leadership: Manage every aspect of HSE for three company locations, including scheduling and oversight of all required testing, regulatory compliance activities, and permitting.
  • Insurance liaison: Partner with the company’s insurance carrier to meet all safety reporting and loss control requirements.
  • Develop procedures and lead the implementation of processes that ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update HSE policy and procedure manuals.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, data interpretation, and technical advice for projects.
  • Coach project teams to drive continuous HSE performance improvement.
  • Track incidents and maintain complete HSE records.
  • Work with all employees to instill a safe, environmentally conscientious work environment, assess awareness, discuss policies, advise on best practices, and coaching to improve behavior

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years in HSE leadership roles, ideally across multiple locations
  • A relevant degree or equivalent field experience
  • Strong knowledge of chemical treatment and wastewater processes and permitting
  • ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor Verification
  • RCRA/DOT Certification
  • Health & Safety Certification
  • Fork Lift Training Certificate
  • Management of Hazardous Waste Training
  • OSHA Certificate
  • Skilled in MS Office; familiarity with SafetyCulture or similar tools is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication; able to speak effectively before senior management, clients, subcontractors and employees
  • Sound judgment and decision making abilities
