Amphenol Borisch Technologies, office of Environmental Health and Safety seeks a qualified intern to assist with the management of environmental, health and safety programs for the business. The role will consist primarily of development and implementation of occupational safety programs for company employees. The safety intern will report to the EHS Manager and work from the Grand Rapids offices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and implementation of health and safety procedures that align with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Assist with conducting audits of working areas, processes and procedures.
• Participate in training program development, presentation and recordkeeping
• Maintain safety resources within EHS management systems
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that they have sufficient safety resources.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with various computer applications
• Substantial amount coursework completed in the physical sciences or OSH program
• Ability to work independently, organize own work and coordinate work activities of others
• A general understanding of health, safety, and environmental policies
• Ability to work up to 40hrs/week in person.
• Ability to bend, lift, climb and move up to 50 lbs
