We are currently seeking to hire a Material Handler/Excavator Operator that possesses our same values.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Material Handler Operator - Operate material handler (excavator) with grapple, magnet and/or shear to move, manage and organize metals.
- Appropriately identify, handle, sort and process materials.
- Load and unload trucks with metals in a safe manner with excavator.
- Customer service.
- Perform the staging and inspection of materials.
- Report non-conforming materials.
- Assist with organization of steel yard and make space for new product daily.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operating.
Skills and Experience - Ability to accurately, efficiently and safely operate excavator/material handler.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in scrap metals and/or demoliton is a plus.
