Position Overview

DesignElement/Signarama is looking for a self-motivated individual who has a serious interest in learning the sign installation trade. This individual will be responsible for installing signs of varied design and function, working indoors and outdoors year-round (as job requires), assembling traffic signs, and cleaning up all installation materials at the end of the day.

This job includes out of town installation work. Must be willing to travel on short notice for multiple days at a time.

Must be able and willing to learn, follow instruction and work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict deadlines. Someone who has experience installing interior and exterior vinyl decals and wallpaper are a plus. Teamwork, great work ethic, a positive attitude and attention to detail a must.

• Proficiency installing various types of vinyl preferred.
• Competency working with machinery, lifts, and ladders is required.
• Have a valid driver’s license with no traffic violations (speeding tickets, running red lights, DWI/DUI, etc). Subject to approval from company insurance.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools is required.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Gathering all signs, hardware, and materials for a scheduled trip.
• Coordinate daily with the install manager to maintain the workflow to meet all deadlines and stay on top of running jobs.
• Managing your time and tools efficiently.
• Assembly of large signs that must be disassembled for transport.
• Use and care of power tools
• Ensure proper maintenance of installation equipment and vehicles including routine scheduled preventative service and repairs as needed, or bringing these items to management’s attention.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized installation area in the shop.
• Work with other production and installation team members toward the successful completion of all jobs.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as owner/general manager/ production manager deems necessary.

Pay rate:

$18-$21/hr in town.

$22-$25/hr with accommodation and per diem out of town.

Pay rate subject to increase with the availability of certifications with various types of lifts.
