Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and be proficient in fiber splicing with a fusion splicer. You will need good communication skills.

Duties

• Perform fiber splicing and termination for various telecommunications projects.
• Utilize hand tools to install and maintain fiber optic systems.
• Conduct testing using Light meter and other diagnostic tools to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar field service role.

• Familiarity with Ethernet technology and related protocols.
• Proficiency in using Light meters and fusion splicer and other relevant testing equipment.
• Experience with fiber splicing techniques is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• A valid driver's license is preferred for travel to various job sites.

Tools Required

• 28 Ft ladder with Hooks
• fusion splicer
• all fiber tools. Stripper, Cleaver ETC.
• MUST HAVE OWN TRUCK OR SUV WITH LADDER RACK!!
• Cordless Drills and all bits to do an installation into home.

You will be running drop from the pole/Ped to the home. Installing house box then running fiber jumper back into home then installing Router and ONT.

Please make sure you have all tools and experience to get jobs in the ground.

We will train if you are willing to learn!! We will have 2 extra fusion splicers to rent out to some techs!!

This is %100 a 1099 position and it is paid on a NET 7 which means you will work a week and get paid the next for it!!
