Job Description

Imperative Chemical Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A team. This role is well-suited for an entry-level or early career professional who is eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting and grow within a dynamic organization.

SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will support the FP&A team by transforming financial data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. This position assists with forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and data automation while collaborating with leadership and digital teams. The analyst will help maintain data integrity, build dashboards, and support financial performance analysis using various tools and platforms

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and automate monthly and quarterly financial reports to ensure accurate, timely insights.
  • Support close processes through variance and performance analysis.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Assist with budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling.
  • Execute regressions, forecasting, and trend analysis to support strategy.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from executives and board members.
  • Partner with Digital team on ETL, data quality, and architecture improvements.
  • Write DAX measures, SQL queries, and support analytics through code and automation.
  • Contribute to AI/ML tools and predictive modeling initiatives.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and integrity in all analysis and reporting.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret and clearly communicate complex data.
  • Internship or project-based experience in financial analysis, preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/BI tools (NetSuite, Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL, preferred.
