Job Description

A growing and well-established financial services business is seeking an experienced Financial Regulatory Attorney to join its legal and compliance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advise on a wide range of state and federal regulatory matters relevant to the real estate sector , while helping shape marketing, compliance, and risk strategies.

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial regulations impacting mortgage products, ideally with 5+ years of direct experience advising on financial regulatory issues or adjacent consumer finance products. The company is also open to candidates with a marketing compliance background who can demonstrate fluency in consumer finance laws .

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on financial regulatory requirements
• Monitor and interpret developments in consumer finance law at both federal and state levels.
• Partner with compliance and marketing teams to review and advise on advertising, promotions, and customer-facing materials .
• Support the development and maintenance of internal policies and training programs related to regulatory compliance .
• Liaise with regulators and support responses to examinations, audits, and inquiries.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with regulatory implications.

Qualifications:

• JD and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years’ legal experience in financial services, with financial regulatory background strongly preferred.
• Experience in the Mortgage Industry a plus.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
