Job Description
Pries is looking for a General Labor Packer to add to our team! No previous experience needed!
We have 2 shifts available: This is a 2:2:3 schedule format. You will work 2 on, 2 off and then every other weekend.
Duties include:
- Receive instructions and work orders for the job from machine operator, or Team Leader.
- Plan details of working procedure and gather tools and materials required. (ie. Paper, wood, racks, spacers, clamps, etc.)
- Repetitively lift 50-75lbs with a partner as well as operate an over head crane.
- Examine products for defects, such as deep scratches, bent material, bow, dents and flatness.
- Report identified defects to Team Leader
- Pack/Stack product based on production specs, pack codes, and notes, to prevent shifting/damage and meet customer requirements. Reports any discrepancies to machine operator and/or Team Leader.
- May hand stamp or stencil identifying information on cartons or shipping containers.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to Team Leader and or Safety Department.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Clean and organize work area.
