Job Title : Contract Writer
Location : Boca Raton, FL
Pay Rate Range : $40.00 - $53.00 an hour (+benefits)
Work Mode : onsite
Interview Mode : Video (must be on-camera), onsite for 2nd round for all local candidates (highly preferred)
Contract Length : 1 year to start, extensions expected
Position Summary: The Contract Writer is responsible for drafting and reviewing documentation related to procurement activities, including but not limited to:
- Purchase Orders
- Service Agreements
- Vendor Contracts
- Modifications and Amendments
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating contract documentation that covers: Scope of services, Performance requirements, Terms and conditions
- Developing language that clearly defines: Delivery, Service, Quality
- Pricing for procured services/products
- Ensuring clear, consistent language across all documents
- Coordinating with business units and stakeholders to meet departmental requirements and protocols
- Maintaining an internal documentation library
- Providing/coordinating special documentation services as needed
- Overseeing special projects
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Excellent writing and editing skills
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent work experience
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of business or technical writing experience
- Working knowledge of procurement processes and documentation
Complexity:
- Intermediate professional level role
- Works on several moderately to highly complex document management projects
- May provide coaching to junior staff
