Job Description

Group Manager II, Middle Market

The Group Manager role will manage all aspects of the Middle Market Loan Group, including overseeing and assisting Relationship Managers in marketing lending services and other products, credit quality, customer service, profitability, and growth. The role also involves managing support staff and a smaller portfolio of loans, deposits, and customers compared to more senior Group Managers within the division. The target clients typically have an annual revenue between $30MM and $500MM.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Direct activities of the Loan Group to expand market share, increase loans, deposits, and fee income profitably while maintaining high quality and professionalism.
  2. Meet profit and loan quality goals, achieve income targets, maximize loan spreads, fees, non-interest income, and manage expenses.
  3. Manage and maintain loan portfolio credit quality, communicate loan policies considering quality, pricing, and loan types, and assist loan officers in credit analysis and structuring.
  4. Provide leadership for the business unit, develop strategic plans, and execute business strategies.
  5. Lead and manage the team, providing coaching, training, development, performance management, and handling hiring, firing, and salary administration.
  6. Achieve sales results through effective sales planning, prospecting, pipeline development, deposit gathering, monitoring commitments, and cross-selling CMA products and services. Participate in community activities to enhance visibility.
  7. Handle administrative duties such as reporting, budgeting, compliance, and ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Ensure successful completion of compliance training and maintain high audit ratings.

Travel:

25% travel required.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • 7 years of experience as a Commercial Lender
  • 3 years of experience in management/staff development
  • Completion of a Credit Training program

Work Environment:

Category B - 3-4 days in office on designated days, 1-2 days remote. Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
