Move Forward with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for an HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist The HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist is responsible for leading and directing the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This role involves oversight of recruitment, interviews, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits, leaves of absence, employee relations, management and the consistent enforcement of company policies and procedures. As an HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist you will: Lead and support recruiting efforts, including interviewing and hiring. Manage the daily operations and workflow of the HR department. Conduct and deliver performance evaluations. Oversee employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in alignment with company policy. Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with overall business goals. Provide expert support and guidance to managers and employees on complex and sensitive HR matters, including accommodations, investigations, and terminations. Lead the talent acquisition process for all levels of roles, with a focus on managerial, exempt, and professional positions. Oversee employee disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; regularly review policies and procedures to uphold compliance and best practices. Stay current on HR trends, regulatory updates, and evolving best practices in employment law and talent management. Administer and process all workers’ compensation renewals, audits, and injury claims. Negotiate employee benefit plans with brokers, coordinate open enrollment meetings, and provide clear communication and support on employee benefits and supplemental insurance. Manage multistate payroll processing using payroll and timekeeping systems. Oversee enrollment and monthly maintenance of Cafeteria Plans and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Prepare and manage documentation related to the Profit-Sharing Plan. Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records and ensure proper filing of all HR documentation. Perform additional duties as assigned. This is a full time opportunity The ideal candidate will have: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to handle sensitive matters with integrity, professionalism, and discretion. Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices across multiple states. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related software. Knowledge of immigration processes including H-1B visas and Green Card sponsorships. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required. Capable of prioritizing and delegating tasks as appropriate. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in human resources management preferred.
