HR Generalist – Rockville, MD

Our client in Rockville, MD, is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to lead essential HR functions and foster a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruiting: Lead recruiting efforts to attract and retain top talent by developing job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and managing hiring processes.
  • Onboarding & Training: Oversee and manage new hire orientation, ensuring employees receive the necessary resources and guidance to succeed from day one.
  • Employee Engagement & Relations: Address concerns, mediate conflicts, and support a collaborative and productive workplace. Partner with leadership to drive initiatives that improve employee satisfaction.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, answer inquiries, process enrollments, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Payroll Processing & Compliance: Transmit payroll and updates, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Event Planning: Organize and facilitate annual company events, including holiday gatherings, team-building activities, and employee recognition events.
  • Policy Development & HR Strategy: Assist in shaping HR policies, updating guidelines, and recommending improvements based on industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in HR functions, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processing
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving HR processes
