Now hiring for a traveling Industrial Electronics Technician to support our growing Southeastern region.

At OnCare Digital Assets , we’re proud to be North America’s largest third-party QCS (Quality Control Systems) service provider—supporting the pulp and paper industry with industry-leading automation solutions. We are actively seeking a traveling Industrial Electronics Technician to support customer sites across Virginia, East Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina .
What Makes This Opportunity Unique:
- Extensive travel required across the Southeastern U.S. (expect 2/3 – 75% travel)
- Ideal candidate will live near the central region , such as Winston-Salem or Raleigh, NC , but we're open to those located anywhere within the travel area
- Relocation flexibility required after training (6 months – 2 years) based on workload demand within the region
- ASAP start with a 6-month paid training program (including online and in-field rotations across the region)

Your Role as a Traveling Industrial Electronics Technician:
You’ll be the boots on the ground supporting multiple sites across the region. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic/electrical systems and QCS equipment
- Providing hands-on technical support for instrumentation and controls
- Installing new automation systems and managing spare part inventory
- Performing calibration and repairs of control instruments—electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical
- Collaborating with regional teams for seamless service delivery
Why You’re a Great Fit:
We’re especially interested in candidates with:
- Experience in industrial electronics, QCS systems , or military technical backgrounds (Electronics, Avionics, Fire/Nuclear Control, etc.)
- An associate degree or military equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related fields
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical/electronic or instrumentation troubleshooting
- Strong familiarity with industrial sensors, robotics, motion control, and automated systems
- Experience with Valmet, Honeywell, ABB, Mahlo, ThermoFisher QCS systems is a strong plus
