A leading eating disorder treatment provider is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician (MD or DO) licensed in California for a 1099 independent contractor role at a residential treatment center in Monterey.
- The Physician will support two facilities by conducting initial assessments, follow-up visits, participating in treatment planning, ordering labs, managing medications, and addressing medical issues.
- Responsibilities include providing clinical support to psychiatric and nursing staff, documenting in electronic health records, attending medical rounds, and being available for emergencies during scheduled days.
- Must have an active CA license, DEA registration, and professional liability insurance. Experience with eating disorders or behavioral health is preferred.
- Travel to Monterey and Santa Barbara twice monthly required. The role is on-site with no virtual component.
- Compensation includes $250 per initial visit, $125 per follow-up, and a $1,500 monthly administrative stipend per facility, totaling approximately $14,000–$17,000/month for 5–10 hours/week.
