Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee cannabis inventory operations at NJ Leaf Freehold. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and skilled at maintaining accurate inventory records while optimizing stock levels.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in inventory management within a dispensary setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, co-workers, and the public.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate reports to inform purchasing and sales decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting of all cannabis and ancillary inventory.
  • Ensure full compliance with state and local cannabis regulations, including tracking, reporting, and security protocols.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of dispensary inventory and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Oversee product intake, verifying manifests against incoming shipments, and entering all products into the seed-to-sale tracking system in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Maintain strict organization and security of the vault, ensuring all products are stored efficiently and securely.
  • Work closely with dispensary management and purchasing teams to maintain appropriate stock levels and product variety.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cultivators and product vendors.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are processed accurately and reflected in inventory tracking systems.
  • Review and maintain all required testing results and compliance documentation for products.
  • Support dispensary staff with inventory-related tasks, troubleshooting, and customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to identify promotional opportunities for aging or slow-moving inventory.
  • Partner with the Dispensary Manager to analyze sales trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance inventory management and operational efficiency.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed to support dispensary operations, compliance, and overall business objectives.
