We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee cannabis inventory operations at NJ Leaf Freehold. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and skilled at maintaining accurate inventory records while optimizing stock levels.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in inventory management within a dispensary setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate reports to inform purchasing and sales decisions.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a compliance-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting of all cannabis and ancillary inventory.
- Ensure full compliance with state and local cannabis regulations, including tracking, reporting, and security protocols.
- Conduct daily reconciliations of dispensary inventory and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee product intake, verifying manifests against incoming shipments, and entering all products into the seed-to-sale tracking system in a timely manner.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Maintain strict organization and security of the vault, ensuring all products are stored efficiently and securely.
- Work closely with dispensary management and purchasing teams to maintain appropriate stock levels and product variety.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cultivators and product vendors.
- Ensure all purchase orders are processed accurately and reflected in inventory tracking systems.
- Review and maintain all required testing results and compliance documentation for products.
- Support dispensary staff with inventory-related tasks, troubleshooting, and customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to identify promotional opportunities for aging or slow-moving inventory.
- Partner with the Dispensary Manager to analyze sales trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory turnover.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance inventory management and operational efficiency.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed to support dispensary operations, compliance, and overall business objectives.
