First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a customer-focused, engaging, detail-oriented Japan Customer Service Representative to join our International Banking Department. In this role, you will be responsible to provide customer service primarily to Japanese mass market customers through a customer service platform referred to as "Japan Help Desk". Japan Help Desk provides customer service to Japanese mass-market customers. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience. Compensation The hourly salary range for this role is $19.50-$23.50/hour; commensurate with experience. Work Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary) The ideal candidate will have: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Professional level bilingual capability in English and Japanese in reading, writing, and speaking required. 1 - 2 years' experience with Japanese clients in customer service preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English and Japanese at a professional level. Familiarity with Japanese business culture. Familiarity with financial statements and banking products. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to use judgment and discretion in problem resolution. Able to handle confidential matters judiciously. Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through. PC proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Must have good organizational skills.
