Job Title: Japanese Translator
Location: Sparks, NV 89437 - ONSITE
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Position Type: Hourly contract Position (W2 only)
Working Hours: 7AM – 4PM
Hours Per Week: 40
Note: OPEN TO CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF RENO**** Standard travel to/from project and hotel accommodations will be available.
- LENGTH: 6 MONTHS - possibility of extension
- HOURS: 7AM – 4PM
- HOURS PER WEEK: 40
- While the hotel may allow pets - PENA HAS A NO PET POLICY. Please make your candidates aware of this if they are not non-local and have pets.
Essential Duties: - Interpret between Japanese expats and local staff.
- Provide interpretation for various onsite meetings as wells as telephone and web conferences.
- Translate technical and non-technical documents including policies, instructions and manuals when necessary.
- Compose and translate emails, reports etc.
- Required to translate both Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
- Other duties may assign by management.

- High school diploma or GED
Preferred: - Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
Essential Qualifications: - Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication and writing skills.
- Japanese/ English business language skills.
- Translator / interpreter experience in a business/ technical environment, manufacturing industry preferred.
- Ability to translate quickly and accurately.
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
