Volt is immediately hiring an
SEM or AFM Lab Chemist Engineer II in Maplewood with a well-known industry leader.
Must be able to run coverage day/ afternoon/ or midnight shift, as needed (roughly 3-5 days per month)
This is a first shift position. As a Lab Chemist you will: - Prepare routine and novel samples for analysis via SEM and AFM analysis using ultramicrotomy, ion milling, and other conventional techniques.
- Operate SEM and AFM and collecting data
- Complete basic image processing and data analysis.
- Organize generated data into communicable reports.
- Support product development engineers through physical property and optical testing/characterization, sample prep.
Estimated Duration 24 + months. The ideal candidate will have: - Bachelor’s degree in (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related discipline)
- 2 years experience working in optical metrology lab- SEM or AFM skills required
Preferred Skills: Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
