This is a full-time on-site role at our San Francisco office. Qualified part-time candidates will also be considered.

Role Description

The legal assistant will support our attorneys in representing clients at every stage of a workers' compensation case and across our civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively.

Qualified candidates should submit a resume and cover letter outlining previous work experience in the legal field.

Responsibilities

• Filing DOR's, Applications, other worker compensation related filings
• Case management and client communication
• Manage clerical duties including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars
• Organize and maintain legal files and documents efficiently
• Assist in the drafting of legal correspondences, memos, and court documents
• Aid attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions
• Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as required
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the legal team

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience at a law firm (Required)

• Experience with e-filing
• Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks
• Attention to Detail
