We are seeking a talented and licensed Cosmetologist with a passion for and expertise in Black hair care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in a wide range of services, dedicated to continuous learning, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a supportive and professional setting. Stations and room available to lease or commission

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of hair care services for clients, including but not limited to:

  • Natural hair styling (twists, braids, locs, updos)

  • Weave installations and maintenance (sew-ins, quick weaves)

  • Relaxers and chemical treatments

  • Coloring (highlights, balayage, full color)

  • Cutting and trimming

  • Shampooing, conditioning, and scalp treatments

• Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs and recommend appropriate services and products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with state board regulations.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, techniques, and products in Black hair care.
• Build and maintain a strong clientele through exceptional service and a positive attitude.
• Promote and sell salon products to clients.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid and current Cosmetology license in the state of Texas.
• Proven experience working with and styling Black hair is a must.
• Strong knowledge of various hair textures and hair care needs for different hair types.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, reliable, and punctual.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A portfolio of previous work is highly recommended.
