Work shift: M- F 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. Available overtime. Mandatory overtime once a month. As a Maintenance Technician in the GenMark team, your main task is to support the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, instruments, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing, research, and development environments. Troubleshooting and adjusting as needed the Mechanical, Electrical and software-related issues on GenMark’s ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment and systems. Following step-by-step instructions to perform assigned Preventive Maintenance on production equipment as well as maintain manufacturing and R&D equipment and instruments to the manufacturers’ specifications. Assists with process improvement projects to include spare parts program fixtures needed to support manufacturing, R&D, and other company needs. Executing equipment validations (IQ/OQ) and documenting all activities following Good Documentation Practices. Documenting Equipment and Engineering activities in accordance to established procedures, company policies and FDA. Leading special projects as requested and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma (required) with at least 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment OR a technical/trade school degree (preferred). Experience focused on electro-mechanical equipment repair, troubleshooting, systems calibrations, and/or preventive maintenance. Asset Database Management system experience required. Knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820 required. Knowledge and experience with laboratory diagnostic instrument software and systems. Relocation benefits are not available for this job position.
