Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY :

* Provide preventative maintenance functions.
*  Repairs involving plumbing components/systems, electrical, drywall and painting, HVAC systems, furnishings, and equipment.
* Maintain and repair equipment following department safety practices.
* Maintain facility equipment in accordance with department policies and procedures and manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure safe operating conditions. Perform electrical safety inspection on new equipment and tag appropriately.
* Follow department procedures and take appropriate precautions to maintain employee and patient safety during work activities.
* Consult with department management in advance of performing any maintenance tasks that could disrupt the provision of service to patients.

* Conduct specified inspections/servicing as required to comply with all Life Safety Code and Joint Commission requirements.

WEIGHT LIFTED/CARRIED:

* Up to 75 pounds

EDUCATION :

*  High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE :

*  Skills and employment experience in the following areas: drywall repairs and/or installation, painting, plumbing repairs, minor electrical maintenance/repair, landscaping maintenance, HVAC maintenance and repairs, appliance, furnishings and basic equipment maintenance & repairs.
