Job Requirements:

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment.
• Experience with health insurance billing and terminology required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems in timely manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

Job Description:

• Create and process pre-certification requests for each assigned patient file.
• Verify insurance and registration data for scheduled surgeries, review forms for accuracy.
• Review, verify and update patient demographics and insurance information 
• Input patient demographics and insurance information into the billing software.
• Answer phone calls and handle inquiries.
• Billing submission operations including but not limited to entering inpatient and/or outpatient charges ensuring the use of accurate codes and information for each patient. Requests for medical records, denials, and appeals must be performed.
• Maintain medical records creation and follow up. Maintain documentation of any denials and appeals 

Synaptic Resources provides IONM for patients of all ages undergoing surgery in both the inpatient and ambulatory hospital settings. IONM specialty services are provided by onsite technologists with the addition of professional oversight by Interpreting Physicians (MD/DO) using real-time remote access audio & video communications. The technologist performs an array of modalities during a surgical procedure designed to protect the patient's nervous system in or around the surgical site.
