Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat patients with kidney diseases and disorders, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and glomerular diseases
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and performing procedures such as kidney biopsies and dialysis
Consult with other healthcare professionals to manage patient care and coordinate treatment plans
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients on kidney health, disease prevention, and self-management strategies
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advances in nephrology
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives in nephrology
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
Completion of a nephrology fellowship
Board certification in nephrology
Current medical license in the state of practice
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
