Job Description

Job Title: Nuclear Test Engineer

Location: Everett, WA  
Contract Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)  
Contract Duration: 12 months  

System One is seeking a skilled Test Engineer for a contract opportunity. This role presents a unique chance to be an integral part of a dynamic engineering team specializing in the nuclear industry. You will work at the forefront of research and development, significantly contributing to innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review testing requirements and design effective testing protocols to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Execute tests, document findings, and generate comprehensive test reports that provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure testing is conducted promptly and meets all specified requirements.
- Assist in drafting and finalizing test requirement documents and other supporting materials.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying areas for process enhancement.
- Work alongside Senior Test Engineers to coordinate the setup and commissioning of experimental equipment.
- Stay updated on industry best practices to maintain the highest quality of engineering design and performance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field of Engineering.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a testing, research, and development environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with various testing methods including R&D, Acceptance, Validation, and Qualification.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly involving the documentation and post-processing of experimental data.
- Previous work with alkali metals, vibration, strain, and optical testing is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing large and complex mechanical systems is a plus.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- A safety-conscious mindset and the ability to tackle challenging research problems with minimal supervision.
- Capable of juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing objectives effectively.
