Your Responsibilities - Completing holistic patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and devising tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians, or autonomously (contingent on credentials)
- Instructing patients and their families on prevention, health maintenance, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatment options within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and long-term care strategies
- Working with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient-centric care
- Maintaining precise and comprehensive documentation through electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
Necessary Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or comparable specialty certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
