Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team supporting the clients core tour reservations application, **Clarity**. This mission-critical system is fully built in Oracle and serves as the backbone of the companys operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong database development expertise, experience with front-end technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex PL/SQL code within the Oracle environment.
- Design and implement database objects such as tables, views, procedures, triggers, and packages.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and technical team to gather requirements and translate them into efficient solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Contribute to system enhancements and modernization efforts for the Clarity application.
- Participate in design discussions and share insights to improve processes and performance.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
- Experience writing web-based software within Oracle environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and contribute innovative ideas within a collaborative team setting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with large, complex, or legacy systems.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization in Oracle databases.
- Understanding of database architecture and best practices for secure, scalable solutions.
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
